- To promote the collaboration
of the researchers in the field of population and household
economics with a particular interest to the relationships between
households, within households and between the family and the
state
- To coordinate the
acquisition of bibliographic resources concerning the economics
of the family and demographic economics. To collect information
in a microeconomic and macroeconomic level about the various
aspects of the family at the European and international level
- To organize, also
with the collaboration of other public and private institutions,
lectures, workshop and courses of specialization, in order to
promote the research and policy analyses
- To build a network
of relationship between CHILD and other centres of study that
are interested in the same topics in other countries, like ISER
(Institute for Social Economic Research) at the University of
Essex, IZA (Institute for the Study of Labour) in Bonn, C.V.
Starr Center for Applied Economics and CES (Center for European
Studies) at the New York University
- To coordinate and
manage research projects at European and international level
- To cooperate with
other Italian and foreign universities associated with CHILD
in the organization of programs of exchange of students and
researchers
- To publish a series
of working paper regarding several aspects of the economics
of the family at the empirical and theoretical level
