To promote the collaboration of the researchers in the field of population and household economics with a particular interest to the relationships between households, within households and between the family and the state To coordinate the acquisition of bibliographic resources concerning the economics of the family and demographic economics. To collect information in a microeconomic and macroeconomic level about the various aspects of the family at the European and international level To organize, also with the collaboration of other public and private institutions, lectures, workshop and courses of specialization, in order to promote the research and policy analyses To build a network of relationship between CHILD and other centres of study that are interested in the same topics in other countries, like ISER (Institute for Social Economic Research) at the University of Essex, IZA (Institute for the Study of Labour) in Bonn, C.V. Starr Center for Applied Economics and CES (Center for European Studies) at the New York University To coordinate and manage research projects at European and international level To cooperate with other Italian and foreign universities associated with CHILD in the organization of programs of exchange of students and researchers To publish a series of working paper regarding several aspects of the economics of the family at the empirical and theoretical level
